Mission:
To change social beliefs, attitudes and the behaviors that perpetuate domestic violence while creating a safe space in which to empower individuals and families affected by abuse.
Role Responsibilities:
Volunteers engage with kids during scheduled hours and guide them through hands-on-age-appropriate activities. Ideal for those passionate about childcare, patient, and eager to make a positive impact.
Location: Shelter (undisclosed location), Aliso Viejo Office, or Garden Grove Office.
Availability: Shelter- Monday-Friday 10am-12pm, Monday 7pm-8pm, Thursday 6:30pm-8:30pm. Aliso Viejo/Garden Grove: Monday-Thursday 3:30-8pm
Commitment: 1 year, 6-8 hours a week
This position requires a state certified 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training and TB test.
