We need your help at Black Hill Regional Park and Discovery Center!
Join us for a variety of projects which can earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours or come out to help just because it feels good to volunteer!
Projects will include meadow clean-ups, trash pick-ups, invasive plant pulls, garden work and much more. Open to all ages - no younger than 6, please! - but volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult!
Duties:
May include...
- Working on maintenance projects in our beautiful meadow
- Trash pick-up around the regional park and/or lake
- Native Plant Garden clean-up

Requirements:
-Able to do physical labor such as pulling plants and lifting objects
-Good listening skills
-Enjoy being outdoors in all types of weather
-Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult

Description
Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
