Caring Hospice Services in Mount Laurel is a unique, holistic and cost-effective service designed to meet the social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs of their patients and families as they face terminal illness. The mission of Caring Hospice Services is to coordinate patient and family services while respecting their choices, values and beliefs.
Caring Hospice Services has patients in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties that reside in private homes, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities.
Birthday project volunteers create celebration cakes for hospice patients out of tissue paper flowers and a foam base and prepare greeting cards. Cards and cakes are delivered to patients by the clinical team. All supplies are provided, and potential volunteers need to possess crafting knowledge.
Volunteers travel to our Mt. Laurel office once a week on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and spend a few hours of their time between 8am and 3pm.
Individualized training is provided free of charge. In keeping with Medicare requirements, background, DMV and medical checks are part of the application process. This opportunity is also open to teens.
Please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Lucia DiSimone, at 856-439-0012 or ldisimone@caringhospice.com.
