Are you passionate about empowering young minds and fostering a safer community? Join us at Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Michigan as we embark on an exciting initiative to expand our Power of Youth Prevention programs in 2024.
Responsibilities:
Research and Connections: Conduct research and establish connections with youth-focused organizations, schools, churches, girl scouts, and other youth groups across Michigan. Identify opportunities to promote and implement our educational programming.
Community Partnerships: Help us build robust community connections and a comprehensive resource database. Actively seek out potential partners and venues, such as schools and community organizations, interested in hosting our programs.
Initiative Expansion: Contribute to the growth of our Power of Youth Prevention programs. Work alongside our team to develop and implement strategies that will educate young people about the dangers of drug and alcohol consumption before their brains are fully developed, emphasizing the legal consequences of underage use.
Public Presentation Volunteer: We are actively seeking volunteers who can present these crucial programs to the public throughout Michigan in person. If you have excellent communication skills and a passion for making a positive impact, we want to hear from you!

Description
Programming & Events: MADD conducts victim impact panels annually, reaching thousands of drunk or drugged driving offenders, including first and repeat offenders. These panels feature testimonials from bereaved victims. Signature events include the holiday red ribbon program "Driving Change," encouraging a sober holiday season. We partner with Michigan law enforcement agencies, host the Law Enforcement Recognition Luncheon, and organize Walk like MADD, a prominent community awareness event in late summer/fall.
Volunteer Opportunities: MADD Michigan operates remotely, offering both virtual and in-person volunteer roles.
