ORGANIZATION: Paws and Claws Cat Rescue

  • 4 people are interested

Paws and Claws is a cat rescue responsible for saving felines at risk of euthanasia and finding adopters for them. Post Adoption Support Specialists are responsible for emailing and calling adopters after they have brought home their new pet to check in, offer support and guidance and answer questions. This is a great volunteer role for someone in the Chicagoland area who is comfortable responding to emails, calling adopters and offering basic behavior and medical advice. This is a mostly virtual volunteer role with in-person flexibility at our Adoption Center in Evanston.

The Post Adoption Support Specialist plays a direct role in helping make the transition from Paws and Claws smooth for both the adopter and the animal. Want to learn more? Email ashlynn@pawsandclawscatrescue.org

About Paws and Claws Cat Rescue

Location:

829 Chicago Ave., Evanston, IL 60202, US

Mission Statement

Paws and Claws Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preventing and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Description

Paws and Claws is a cat rescue that focuses on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at animal care and control facilities for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
