SC North Series: Richmond
The SC Experience

We are now the first Track Meet in the North Series for the 2024 Speed Capital Track and Field International Campaign. What does that mean? It means that our meet is the first stop for athletes from Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and New York to compete to be a North Series Champion and vie for global domination at the international championships! This will be a "championship" style event that will garner the attention of over 1500 attendees. This event is known for producing an amazing experience for both the athletes and spectators. This the second year that this event has come to Central Virginia.

A meal will be provided to volunteers. Volunteer hours worked will be verified by Future Flyers to help volunteers reach community service hours goals. Duties and positions include: set-up crew, clean-up crew, technology usage, raking long jump pit, High Jump pit, moving hurdles, retrieving implements such as shot puts, discus and other roles during the Track and Field meet. Training will be provided!

Description

The Future Flyers is a youth Track and Field team for girls and boys ages 5 to 18 that focus on teaching the fundamentals of the sport. Our mission is to prepare athletes for life after sport though discipline, hard work and volunteerism in the sport of Track and Field. We aim to provide a fun, learning culture that will help the athlete transition from sport to life after sport. Our core values are centered on the fact that we want people who believe in the B.E.S.T. We ask that individuals are a Blessing to others, Encourage student-athletes, Share their resources and time, and Teach others. We are a teaching program designed to encourage our youth to perform at a high level. We teach every participate the basics of each event that they participate in during the season.
