Bristol Hospice relies on volunteers to provide an array of support services to patients and their families. Hospice volunteers gain great personal satisfaction in knowing that they made an impact in someone's life. Some activities you can do as a volunteer: provide companionship, provide comfort and support, provide respite time for caregivers, run errands, special projects, play music, read aloud, enjoy a sunny day or watch a movie, and assist in the office and in the community.
Bristol Hospice covers all of Bristol County and we can provide you with opportunities in your own community. We are flexible and will work with your schedule. All we ask for is a commitment of 1-2 hours of your time per week.
All of our volunteers are properly trained. We require background checks and reference checks before performing any volunteer duties. We also provide ongoing education, related resources, supervision and support to members of our volunteer team.
