Are you passionate about helping a new nonprofit organization grow and thrive? B.Y.E. (Black, Young, and Empowered) is seeking volunteers to join us in building crucial relationships as a Donor Relations Specialist.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Social Media Coordinator plays a vital role in building an online community for local engagement B.Y.E. supporters. The Social Media Coordinator is critical for amplifying B.Y.E. message, engaging with the local community, and raising local awareness through social media.

As the Social Media Coordinator, your primary focus is to create and post content. Build Community by raising awareness through Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin. You will also monitor and engage with the local online community by answering questions, creating discussions, and events, and keeping your local online community up to date with any new B.Y.E. initiatives, announcements, or volunteer opportunities.

B.Y.E. is here to empower Black youth by challenging historical limitations and providing comprehensive tools for personal and professional growth. We envision a world where every Black child's dreams are limitless, and their capabilities match those dreams. We offer programs to achieve this:

Goal 1: Financial Independence and Career Advancement
- Financial Empowerment Hub: Equips youth with financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills.
- Youth Job Creation and Training: Provides opportunities above entry-level positions for skill development.

Goal 2: Literacy Enhancement and Diverse Representation
- Reading Literacy Enhancement Program: Closes the reading literacy gap and promotes Black authors in curriculums.

Goal 3: Holistic Mental Health Enhancement
- Holistic Mental Wellness Program: Enhances mental well-being through yoga and meditation.

Goal 4: Performance and Film-making Excellence
- Performing Arts Empowerment Program: Cultivates talent in acting, musical theater, and film-making.

Goal 5: Global and Local Community Engagement
- Community Engagement and Global Citizenship Program: Nurtures civic responsibility and advocacy skills.
- Global Community Outreach: Provides international travel opportunities for service and cultural exchange.
- Community Improvement Initiatives: Supports locally-driven projects for community improvement.
