Recruiting Organization: Project Petals, Inc.

PR and Communications volunteer will be involved in the day-to-day activities of Project Petals Media & Communications.

Assist with collecting and analyzing media coverage performance to inform strategy and content development

Assist with the creation and distribution of press releases, communicate with reporters, compile interview prep materials, and support staff during interviews with reporters

Work will include creating engaging social media content and monitoring their effectiveness; supporting media relations; creating engaging email marketing content; updating the website; conducting research related to our advocacy; and assisting with other communications duties as needed

Research environmental and climate issues, rights and justice subject matter to create Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn content

Research and track press mentions and relevant media coverage

Compile and update contact lists of journalists, panels, conferences, speakers bureaus and media targets

Develop creative digital and social media content, including considerable digital design

Prepare written materials, including press materials, email communications, messaging documents, and factsheets

Conduct research for various communications projects
