During our internship programs, students work in teams to deliver a project for you! Projects aim to deliver value to your organizations while providing students the opportunity to develop in-demand employability skills while exploring your industry. The process is easy:
- Work with us to identify a project that will deliver value to your organization, a business unit within your organization or even a single team.
- Identify a member of your organization who can commit two hours a week to meet with an intern team virtually, review work, and provide online feedback.
- Get a tailored deliverable based on your project that is filled with fresh perspectives and insights from future talent.
- 100% virtual programs - no need to host students on-site
- We act as the employer of record and program coordinator - saving you time and administrative resources
- We support you in providing a diverse range of high school students with real-world experience and employability skill development

Mission Statement
The Work-Based Learning Alliance (WBLA) is a non-profit whose mission is to provide all high school students across the United States with access to industry connected learning experiences that develop the real world skills needed to succeed beyond the classroom. We are focused on addressing the needs of historically marginalized and underrepresented student populations by delivering mobile-first virtual experiences that meet students where they are, eliminating barriers to access. The opportunities we give students today will shape the workforce of tomorrow, and we are are committed to providing accessible, equitable and sustainable opportunities for all.
Description
Our programs leverage a proven project-based learning model where students work in teams to complete a real world project from an industry partner. Throughout their project students receive feedback on their work from an industry mentor.
Partnering directly with industry ensures our programs are designed to align to the current and future needs of organizations. They also support the advancement of in-demand industry roles, tasks and skills, and develop diverse talent pipelines.
We look to ensure mentors share lived experience with our student populations allowing students to truly 'see themselves’ in industry.
The virtual nature of the our programs ensures students are able to participate regardless of geography, and provide students the flexibility to work both synchronously & asynchronously around their existing commitments.
