Kitchen volunteers will have the opportunity to help our dedicated Chefs and kitchen team in preparing stellar vegetarian meals and support our guests in their healing journey here at the retreat center. A good portion of this work is cutting vegetables and ensuring the kitchen is always clean and sanitized. You may find yourself assisting in the dish area, helping to support the Dining team or helping care for our small culinary garden just off of the kitchen. If you enjoy serving others, this job may be for you.
Preferred experience/ skills:
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Work well with a team or independently
- Great communication skills
- A willingness to take direction and work in a team environment
- Display care and Attention to detail
- Positive outlook and abundant optimism
- Customer service attitude
- Ability to preform some small manual labor task (cut veggies)
