Visitor Ambassador Volunteer Description

Come join the team at Mount Rushmore National Memorial! We are looking for a friendly volunteer that enjoys spending time with people and furry friends. The B.A.R.K. Ranger and Pet Ambassador is a position designed to make sure visitors to the park know the best way to enjoy the park with their pets. The main goal of this position is to act as an ambassador to the Memorial and assist visitors by informing them of park policy and available resources. Responsibilities for this position include greeting visitors, answering fundamental questions, speaking to pet owners, and offering general directions.

The time frame for this position is 4-6 months but can be extended depending on Volunteers interest. A minimum of 1 full workday or up to 9 -hour work week is required, if the volunteer requires housing, but type of shifts and hours can be flexible. Part-time positions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
