Paria Beach Planting Event
The Wild Arizona Stew Crew needs your help to re-plant 30 native trees at Paria Beach. Did you know it’s the largest naturally forming beach in the state, made primarily by sediment deposits brought in from the muddy Paria River? Paria Beach has been the site of Wild Arizona's restoration project to remove invasive plants, plant native trees and improve the ecological health of this natural and cultural treasure.
Join Lead Biologists Larry Stevens and Joel Barnes, the Wild Arizona Stew Crew, and Page High School youth to bring biodiversity back to the beach. Meet us at Paria Beach at noon and plant with us until 3:00 pm. Wild Arizona will provide gloves and guidance!
All are welcome! Sign up today!

Mission Statement
Wild Arizona’s mission is to protect, link, and restore wild lands and waters across Arizona and beyond, for the enrichment and health of all citizens, and to ensure Arizona's native plants and animals a lasting home in wild nature. We organize and amplify multi-community voices of support for legislation and special designations; advocate for conservation science-based environmental policy and planning; and cultivate stewardship, social/environmental awareness, and well-being through outdoor volunteerism, science, and education.
Description
Wild Arizona is the newly launched merger of Arizona Wilderness Coalition with the Grand Canyon Wildlands Council. We are blending two long-standing conservation organizations with strong roots in Arizona’s rich conservation history, the wilderness movement, the Colorado River community, deep ecology/rewilding, outdoor adventure, field-based ecological research, hands-on habitat restoration, and working for and with tribal partners.
