Carpe Librum will be popping up at Georgetown University for a fundraising book sale on October 1 ! We will need volunteers to help us set up and break down the tables and bookshelves for this fundraising event. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and education in the DC public school system.
Can you lend a hand?
- The first shift is from 9am-10am , helping to set up the tables and shelve books according to category.
- The second shift is from 5pm-6pm , helping to break down the tables and pack up books.
- You'll be a great fit for this opportunity if you're comfortable working outside, and can bend, reach higher shelves, and lift heavy boxes.
If interested, sign up via VolunteerMatch and we will reach out with more details. Contact Natalia at nporras@turningthepage.org with any questions. If you’re interested in helping out at one of our other pop-up book sales around the city, you can view our sale calendar here: https://turningthepage.org/events/ . Thank you!
(By the way, we’re not just any bookstore: we’re a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs, and DVDs to support the DC nonprofit Turning the Page.)
