This position functions within the Division of Administration, Interpretation, and Cultural Resources at Reconstruction Era National Historical Park. The work involves traveling to various sites throughout Beaufort County and Reconstruction Era NHP to document events and capture park property and surroundings. The volunteer will provide the work and assistance necessary to support the visual info specialist at Reconstruction Era National Historical Park.
Major Duties
Beaufort County and Partnerships
Documenting, capturing, and providing visual information for the following:
- Penn Center campus and events
- Gullah Geechee Heritage Corrdor events
- Fort Fredrick and Beaufort County Parks events
- Historic Downtown Beaufort events
Reconstruction Era NHP
Documenting, capturing, and providing visual information for the following:
- Beaufort Firehouse VC
- Darrah Hall VC - Brick Baptist Church
- Pickney Porter’s Chapel VC - Fort Fredrick
- West St. Community Center
- Documenting and capturing events with REER Interp and Cultural Resource staff programs.
Reconstruction Era Network
- Documenting, capturing, and providing visual information and resources for a site within the Reconstruction Era Network.
