The purpose of this position is to tend to patients' non-medical needs, care for the families and guests of the patients and socialize with them to create a positive patient experience as well as assist staff with clerical duties as needed.
Duties:
Round on patients to address their comfort needs
Answer call lights, assisting with non-clinical needs
Visit with patients to provide companionship and emotional support
Respond to stated concerns by providing information and reassurance
Qualifications:
Friendly, outgoing communication skills
Compassionate, caring individual comfortable in emotional or tense situations
Comfortable in clinical settings
Ability to walk long distances
