ME/CFS San Diego E-Newsletter Team

ORGANIZATION: ME/CFS San Diego

  • 6 people are interested

ME/CFS San Diego wants to start a quarterly newsletter. The newsletter would help them reach patients, caregivers, healthcare workers, researchers, legislators, and the general public with information about ME/CFS, resources, and how they can make a difference

They are looking for volunteers who can help plan and write content, design and organize the newsletter, and determine how to promote it. Their goal is more awareness and education, and less fundraising (they only hold a fundraiser once/year) so they want the newsletter to focus on their actions, awareness, education, and ME/CFS resources

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Time Commitment: A 3-4 hour/week commitment for a year is preferred but their organization is very flexible.

Onboarding Process: You will be provided with information about ME/CFS information to help you understand what you will be working on. Additional training is to be determined.

Required Skills/Experience: Able to type or output text, communicate and work with others remotely, and willing to learn about ME/CFS

Desired Skills/Experience: Any journalism, communications, PR, background is a plus. They would love to eventually be able to have translation options so fluency in additional languages would be great

Physical Requirements: Typing or some form of being able to produce text for the e-newsletter. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and is flexible since you would volunteer remotely from home.

Attire: This is an entirely remote, asynchronous opportunity - if volunteers need to connect with anyone through zoom or in-person, they would prefer that volunteers dress appropriately to reflect their organization. Clothing that is informal and comfortable, yet clean and professional would be great.

ME/CFS San Diego
