We are hosting a scavenger hunt fundraiser. Our goal is to allow participants to explore Austin via public transit while raising money and awareness for ATX KIDS CLUB. In the summer, campers gain self-confidence by learning how to explore their own city through urban adventures with our community partner, CapMetro. Through these adventures, ATX KIDS CLUB shows campers that Austin is truly accessible to all. This event is now everyone else's opportunity to do the same.
We will have a few different roles for volunteers. The day will start and end at Waterloo Parkway. Some volunteers will stay at the park the whole time to organize the food, refreshments, and raffle. Volunteers will also help teams get started, hand out welcome packets, etc. During the quest, volunteers will have a specific bus stop they are assigned to. At the stop you will assist teams as needed and hand out water.
We are looking for someone...
-passionate about youth programs
-familiar with CapMetro Bus system or very willing to learn
-enthusiastic about public transit
-energetic and sociable
-flexible
-willing to meet with us for training/preparation before the event
