K9 Youth Alliance is currently seeking 20 responsible adults to mentor student-dog teams in our 3-week Spring program!
VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a vital part of our team as you work directly to mentor a student-dog team. Volunteers are also charged with maintaining the safety of the students/dogs in all aspects of the program. Volunteers will work directly with student-dog teams to train them on dog handling over a course of 3 weeks in April-May 2024.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal volunteer should:
*Be inspired by the opportunity to help kids and shelter dogs
*Be able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
*Be on your feet and active for roughly 3 hours a day
*Be available minimum of 3 days a week
*Clear a criminal background check
***Priority is given to volunteers who can attend all 15 days of a program.
