Every day people are forced from their home due to disasters. Single and multi-family fires account for 90% of disaster responses for the American Red Cross. Compassionate and committed Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers help those families affected.
Respond to home fires, flooding or other local disasters to provide resources, comfort and hope to those who have been affected.
Be the beacon of hope to families who are likely having the worst day of their lives.
Requirements
- 18 years or older with a valid United States driver’s license
- Training provided both online courses and shadow virtually with experienced volunteers
- Computer with internet

Description
We are urgently recruiting for the following areas of service:
Disaster:
Respond locally and nationally to disasters and help to build chapter readiness by developing community partnerships, assisting with logistics, and preparing by taking disaster training classes.
Service to the Armed Forces:
We provide support, comfort, and resources to military members, veterans, and their families.
Blood Services:
We collect, process, and distribute nearly half of the nation’s blood & blood supply products. Help with donor registration and serving refreshments at the office and at mobile blood drives, in addition to providing office support.
