Are you a skilled seamstress who wants to create loving memories for others? Be a part of our memory bear and pillow program to create meaningful legacies for families.
Our seamstresses create memory bears or pillows from the clothing of hospice patients, giving their families something to hold onto after their loved-ones pass. The family provides the clothing. The volunteer provides the sewing machine. We provide any expendable items, such as eyes, noses, thread.

Description
Hospice affirms life. Hospice exists to provide aupport and care for persons living with a serious illness so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice is specialized care that provides supportive care directed towards enhancing quality of life. Together with the patient and family, the interdisciplinary caregiving team focuses on the individual's physical symptoms as well as the emotional and spiritual concerns of the patient and family.
Understanding that it is a privilege to accompany patients and families on this unique journey, hospice strives to uphold the patient's personal dignity and to ever sustain hope.
