Companionship/Caregiver Relief Volunteers provide the following:

  • Companion volunteer visits regularly to engage in conversation, usually in an Inpatient or Facility setting.
  • Caregiver Relief volunteer provides companionship in a home setting so that the caregiver can have a break.
  • Care giver Relief volunteers may also assist with light duties while visiting with home patients (Optional)

The mission of Sacred Journey Hospice is to provide compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families while enabling them to live with dignity and comfort as they cope with issues related to a life-limiting illness.

Description

Sacred Journey Hospice provides care to patients who have a terminal illness and their families. We visit patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, our 24/7 inpatient unit or wherever else they may be to provide care on a huge spectrum. We provide for medical, therapuetic (physical, speech, emotional, etc), equipment, medication, supplies, spiritual, social, daily living, veteran and many other needs. Volunteers are a HUGE part of our patient care goals.
