Recruiting Organization: The Scrap Exchange

We offer several types of volunteer opportunities at our Thrift:

Processing: Arguably the most vital link in the Scrap system is Processing at Thrift. This is where we receive and process all the donations we receive - it involves putting clothes, housewares, shoes, accessories, and more onto the sales floor. These donations have already been processed by our on staff processors, you just have to put them in the right spot! We also need help breaking down excess boxes, keeping the area tidy, and helping out our hardworking processors in whatever they may need.

Tidying Shelves and Display Areas: Making sure our shelves and displays are clean and pretty! This involves dusting and sweeping shelving areas, organizing housewares and frames, and making sure things are organized as best as they can be.

Fixing Hangers and Clothes: Working with our fabulous clothing options! This shift involves picking clothing up off the floor and putting them back on hangers, fixing and tidying hangers on the racks, and putting clothes from the dressing room back where they belong.
