The Friendly Visiting Program aims to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst seniors in our neighborhoods and communities.

We are looking for female volunteer who knows American Sign language for one of our amazing homebound Older Adults in Rego Park! Together, the older adult and volunteer can video calls or in-person visits and share stories, hobbies, and interests.

Friendly Visitors must be 18 and over, be open to committing to 6 months of volunteerism, provide 2 non-familial references and consent to a background check to participate in the program.

QCH was formed in 1975 (as Forest Hills Community House) to help heal the wounds of a neighborhood conflict. Over four decades, our reach and breadth have grown; today we offer a broad network of comprehensive services at 25 program sites in 11 different neighborhoods in Queens, allowing us to impact individuals, families, and entire communities.
