ORGANIZATION: ANTIQUE TOY AND FIREHOUSE MUSEUM

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 2 people are interested

Discover the JOY of helping someone smile! We are a 100% volunteer run organization that shares our collection of over 60 fire trucks and hundreds of collectable toys with our Mid-Michigan community. We are looking for people who are willing to maintain and improve our museum grounds, including yard work, repairs/improvements, and cleaning. Your hard work helps our visitors enjoy their experience, and you get to work side-by-side with others who want to help our community.

We are hosting a welcome/training session in March in preparation for the May through October 2024 Season. Maintenance, projects, cleaning, and yard work can occur seasonally and be scheduled year-round, depending on your skills and what we have available on our project list. If you miss our March volunteer welcome session, that's OK - it's just an easy way to learn more about us. We work with YOU to help match a time and project that fits your situation.

We routinely have groups who want to help us throughout the year. Clubs, troops, student groups, and churches are all welcome to reach out - we ask for a single point of contact so it helps us with logistics with your team.

People of all ages and walks of life help out. Men, women, seniors, college students, busy professionals, former firefighters, and some that have no experience with the fire service at all. You are WELCOME - please reach out to connect with us!

Mission Statement

The goal and mission of the museum is to celebrate and preserve the rich firefighting history of the Great Lakes Bay region.
