Hunger strikes the most vulnerable and isolated individuals across all communities. Our Home Grocery Delivery program focuses on delivering healthy, fresh, perishable, and packaged foods to homebound individuals and families who would otherwise not be able to shop in person. Accessibility, dignity, respect, and community are a few of our core values that we hope everyone feels when they access our programs onsite or offsite.

The Home Grocery Delivery program asks participants to call to make an appointment in advance. We serve participants who live in Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount. Participants will be asked if they are homebound, if they have transportation, if anyone could pick-up food on their behalf, and if they are unable to come onsite or have groceries picked up for them, and if no then an appointment will be scheduled for delivery. A participant can schedule one appointment per month. Depending on the situation, a participant may need a smaller delivery twice a month and that can be arranged with the Food Shelf Coordinators approval.

The food that is being delivered is considered a "full pack" and is roughly 4-6 bags of groceries depending on preferences. When the participant schedules an appointment, they should be asked if they have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, protein preferences, or specific needs that would be helpful when packing their order.

All staff and Volunteers who will be delivery food will have required training before starting their first shifts delivering. Volunteers will be grouped in a pair when making deliveries and are unable to deliver alone.

Shifts are every Monday Afternoon. Deliveries will be picked up at our Burnsville Food Shelf.
