Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento (GOTR) is a 501c3 non profit orgranizaion offering afterschool yough development program for girls from 3rd to 8th grade. Through intentionally designed programs, GOTR empowers young girls to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others through the innovative integration of fun physical activities, life-skills lessons, and impactful community projects.

We are looking for volunteer coaches for our spring season (2025) for schools located in Yolo, Sacramento, El Dorado and Placer County.

Girls on the Run coaches:

  • will lead a team of average of 15 girls with co-coaches and facilitate 90 minute lessons twice a week for 10 weeks
  • will receive in-person and online training to lead small teams through engaging lessons that build confidence, inspire healthy habits and foster meaningful connections
  • do not have to be runners or teachers or parents
  • are compassionate and empowering people who want to support the next generation of change-makers.
