We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to lead our Kids Gardening and Cooking Class at Sun Valley Kitchen + Community Center. This exciting opportunity allows you to share your knowledge, inspire young minds, and foster a love for healthy eating and sustainable living.

About Us: Sun Valley Kitchen + Community Center (SVK+CC) is a community hub centered around food, where people of all backgrounds and incomes thrive, connect, and support each other. Our programming is specifically designed to support historically underserved communities, and we engage everyone, across demographics, in our programming and work. We are particularly focused on building social cohesion among the residents of the rapidly-changing Sun Valley neighborhood.

Volunteer Role and Responsibilities: As a Kids Gardening and Cooking Class Leader, you will play a vital role in planning and facilitating engaging activities that combine gardening and cooking. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the instructor in teaching and demonstrations.
• Ensure a safe and secure cooking environment for children.
• Guide and demonstrate cooking techniques to the children.
• Help with ingredient preparation and organization.
• Support cleanup and maintain a tidy kitchen.
• Engage and encourage active participation.
