Serenity Hospice's Portland Metro Office is looking for dedicated volunteers to help make weekly "tuck-in" calls to make sure our patients have enough supplies and refills for the weekend, then enter that information into an online form so our team can respond.
We are asking for a minimum time commitment of 1 hour per week. Once you've completed volunteer onboarding and call-specific training, this volunteer position can be done 100% from the comfort of your home. Calls are typically made on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but can be made starting on Tuesdays if necessary. Please NOTE: Calls need to be made on Pacific Time frames, so as long as you can accommodate that, it doesn't matter where in the United States you are.
All training will be provided. This is an easy way to support our patients and make a difference in your community. We look forward to hearing from you!
To learn more about becoming a volunteer with Serenity Hospice’s Portland office, please contact Ginger Strand at 503-639-0600 or gstrand@addus.com or visit our website at https://serenityhospice.org/volunteer/. Thank you for all you do for your community!

Description
We are privileged to provide end-of-life care and are dedicated to doing "Whatever It takes, when it matters most." We are rigorous in the ongoing evaluation of our performance and work to improve our process and results every day. We are committed to acting with integrity and having a positive impact on everyone with whom we come in contact. Using a holistic approach, Serenity Palliative Care and Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients (and their families) experiencing end-of-life transition. We believe that no one should die alone, afraid or in pain. Pain management is our main priority and alternative therapies are offered as a complementary means of treating pain. Serenity is also a proud partner of the We Honor Veterans Program. Serenity has developed our own V.I.P. Program as a special level of care designed for Veterans.
