Friendly volunteer visits Mason Michigan
ORGANIZATION: Gentiva Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.
Gentiva Hospice is expanding in Ingham County. I am looking for volunteers that are wanting to visit our seniors on Hospice. Some examples of visits may be just sitting with the person, watching TV, playing games, cards, crafts, reading or puzzles. Those are just some ideas but many more possibilities.
Some patients are in their own home while others are in a nursing home enviroment.
To become a volunteer you have to be trained and go through the following to be compliant with Medicare, and Facilities
1. paperwork- that I will help you with when we meet
2. Background Check
3. Fingerprinting
4. Drug screening (minus marijuana)
5. 2 Step TB test
All of this only has to be done once and is paid for by our company.
If you are interested in helping us out please contact me and we can meet. We can either meet in our main office in Jackson or I can meet you somewhere close to you
This is a very flexible position once your training is complete. I will work around your schedule.
Anyone over the age of 18 can volunteer. I currently have a wide range of volunteers from 18-85 and it's amazing.
