SCORE is a nonprofit organization that supports small business mentoring and education. The Port Charlotte SCORE chapter is seeking a volunteer Social Media Administrator or intern to manage our social media platforms and assist with online marketing efforts. This is an unpaid, volunteer position that would likely require 2-5 hours per week to maintain once the initial work is done.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and post content to the chapter website, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Constant Contact email platform
  • Create and curate engaging social media content to promote chapter events, workshops, mentoring services, and volunteer opportunities
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns to increase awareness and drive traffic to our website and events
  • Track analytics and monitor engagement across platforms to identify opportunities and optimize efforts
  • Interact with community partners to provide content for their sites and incorporate their content into our forums
  • Work with Chapter Chair and Marketing Chair to align posting strategy and campaigns with overall goals
  • Attend monthly planning meetings to collaborate on upcoming initiatives and events to promote

Requirements:

  • Strong writing and creative skills
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms
  • Familiarity with website and other social media content management systems
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Passionate about assisting small businesses and entrepreneurs
  • Proficient with visual/content tools

This is a remote, virtual position that would require attendance at periodic online meetings. It's a great opportunity to use your skills to give back and support small business education and mentoring. Schedule is flexible within requirements.
