Volunteer for Legal Support Team


About Us:

We are a dedicated organization working tirelessly to expand access to legal services for the BIPOC community. Through our "Help Them Get Out Safely" initiative, we are committed to ensuring the safety and rights of Black men. To further our mission, we are now opening our doors to volunteers who are eager to support our legal team, regardless of their professional background.

Role Description:

As a volunteer in our legal support team, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support services to underserved communities. While you may not directly offer legal advice, your contributions are vital to the functioning and success of our legal operations. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with legal research and the preparation of legal documents.

- Supporting our legal team in providing advice and assistance, especially in areas such as environmental law, civil law, estate law, immigration law, real estate law, juvenile law, business law, non-profit law, cannabis law, and intellectual property law.

- Helping to organize and execute events and initiatives aimed at advancing social justice and empowering communities.

- Providing administrative support to our legal team as needed.

Requirements:

- A passion for social justice and community service.

- Strong organizational, research, writing, and communication skills.

- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

ASCENDtials assists those in the BIPOC community in dismantling institutionalized Isms within the U.S. workforce by offering workshops that empower them. Our non-profit organization focuses on building cosmic consciousness through our experiential learning programs, healing sessions, and workshops, and environmental programs so that they can successfully advocate for humanity and the environment.
