Description:

The right candidate should have some knowledge of social media best practices and trends, enjoys being creative and creating content, and gets excited by the ideal of building and converting a digital audience.

General Functions:

This person will support the social media and public relations activity by assisting in the implementation of strategies and tactics to grow our audience, increase community engagement, and convert followers into customers and active fans of our company.

  • Assist in managing the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter.
  • Create engaging and shareable content based on our brand guidelines with the goal of increasing brand awareness through impressions, reach, engagement, and followers.
  • Content includes posts, videos/reels, and stories.
  • Support the execution of social promotions and campaigns, such as giveaways and or discounts; and track their success.
  • Support the research of and communication with influencer and brand partners to coordinate campaigns that increase brand awareness and drive measurable results.
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions keeping up with industry trends and news.
  • Support public relations efforts to ensure the execution of cohesive messaging throughout our omnichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain and create accurate reports and trackers to monitor the results and success of all social and public relations activity.
  • Additional day-to-day tasks include responding to inquiries in inboxes across social channels, engaging with comments left on posts, scheduling posts, preparing mailers, and monitoring hashtag usage and overall brand perception.
  • Based on candidate’s experience and interest, additional opportunities could include copywriting and supporting content creation for digital marketing campaigns.

Education and Experience:

  • Passion for social media.
  • Vigorous attention to detail in areas such as proofreading.
  • Excellent communication (written, oral, interpersonal) and grammar skills.
  • Proven self-starter with ability to juggle priorities and manage expectations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant studies, preferably in advertising, marketing, graphic design, business, or communications field.
  • Experience using programs such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative is ideal, but not required.
