We need Atlanta-area fosters willing to open their homes and their hearts for up to 90 days to dogs and cats whose owners are undergoing a temporary life crisis, such as a housing eviction or scary health diagnosis. We offer the following unique benefits: No need to attend adoption events. No worries about "foster failing" since the end goal is to reunite the pet with its loving family. No guesswork about the pet's background or temperament. We also offer a unique volunteer appreciation program called Thanks Fur Everything that allows you to earn points for signing up with STF and for each pet you foster. Points can be redeemed for gift cards. STF will provide all needed supplies and will cover any vetting needs while the pet is in foster care.

We focus our efforts on lower-income families and fixed-income seniors, those who may have no other choice but to surrender their pets due to overwhelming financial constraints. Our service area covers southwest Gwinnett County in Atlanta, Georgia.
