Mission Statement
The mission of the Benicia Tree Foundation is to strengthen community by promoting and supporting tree planting, maintenance, and education.
Description
The Benicia Tree Foundation was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation in 2010 with a three-member Board of Directors. We are a 100% volunteer organization without paid staff. BTF has planted and maintained trees at 11 projects sites throughout Benicia. We also help property owners plant trees at other locations in Benicia. We have planted 988 trees since 2010. Tree Care Days are scheduled on the Second Saturday and Third Thursday of most months typically beginning at 9AM and last two to three hours. If we aren't planting trees, we will be weeding around them, mulching and watering (during the dry season).
