Give a piece of your heart and become a trained Hospice Volunteer. Hours provided upon completion of training, Opportunities to work side by side with trained medical professionals in either SNF, ALF, Board and care homes, and or private home care settings. Must be 16 years or older. Minor volunteers are only able to visit skilled nursing facilities with accompanied supervisor, and adults 18 and over are able to do private home settings at their own comfort level. Oppurtunites to volunteer in the office doing administrative clerical duties, newsletters, assistance in auditing personnel files, Bereavement calls. help in support groups mental health In-service research topics. Direct Hospice patient visitors/ companions for socialization and emotional support as needed to the hospice patient. Must be comfortable with the idea of end-of-life care. Serious inquires only.

At Elite Hospice & Palliative Care we put or patients and families first. We strive to provide full comfort care, for patients who have made the personal decision to no longer pursue curative treatment for an illness. Instead, they have decided to focus on quality of life, and time with family and friends. Our volunteers are an important part of the Hospice process. Providing companionship, social support, and respite for caregivers in need of some extra help. All volunteers complete a specialized training program, and placed where they feel comfortable, or where their talents can be best utilized.
