We are excited to share with you that Yuba County has the opportunity to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASAs). A CASA is a trained volunteer appointed by a judge to provide advocacy for children who have been placed in foster care due to abuse or neglect. We provide the training, you provide a heart for helping children.

With ongoing support from our Case Managers, CASA volunteers serve as the "eyes and ears of the judge and the voice of the child" in dependency court. By spending one-on-one time with their assigned child, a CASA is able to monitor their care and provide individualized, child-focused recommendations to the court. Our CASAs advocate for the best interest of the child in the courtroom, classroom, and at home.

Through the hard work and dedication of these volunteers, local foster kids receive crucial medical, dental, and mental health services, participate in sports, arts, and other extra-curricular activities, and have a safe, stable adult to ensure their voice is heard.
