Experience Corps reading program (with ACHIEVE Pinal) is a senior led and volunteer-based program operating all throughout elementary schools in Pinal County, AZ. In-person and Virtual options available to become a reading tutor for young students in need!
Two hours for two days a week throughout the school year- volunteers work with up to 4 students to dedicate themselves to changing the lives of the children and make them fluent readers by the end of third grade.

Description

Achieve Pinal Experience Corps (APEC) an affiliate of AARP Foundation is an intergenerational, evidence-based literacy program designed to help students become proficient readers by the end of third grade. Using Reading A-Z level books our trained volunteers work one on one with students on building fluency, accuracy, and comprehension skills two days a week for the entire school year. The Achieve Pinal Experience Corps reading program partners with elementary schools throughout Pinal County.
