Connected To Culture is searching for a creative and dedicated individual to join our team as a Volunteer Content Creator. As a key contributor, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape our narrative, engage our audience, and showcase the richness of cultural diversity through compelling content.
Responsibilities:
1. **Content Development:**
- Create engaging written, visual, and multimedia content that aligns with Connected To Culture's mission.
- Develop content for various platforms, including blog posts, social media, newsletters, and more.
2. **Visual Storytelling:**
- Capture and edit photos and videos to tell impactful stories.
- Design visually appealing graphics and promotional materials.
3. **Social Media Management:**
- Curate and schedule content for social media channels.
- Monitor trends and engage with the community through comments and messages.
4. **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with the communications team to ensure a consistent brand message.
- Collaborate with other volunteers to support event promotion and coverage.
Qualifications:
- Passion for cultural diversity and storytelling.
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills.
- Proficiency in content creation tools and graphic design software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Time Commitment:
Flexible, with an estimated commitment of 5-8 hours per week. Availability for occasional evening or weekend events is a plus.

With advancements in DNA research, people all over the world are able to accurately find out if they have African ancestry. This is life changing for some many people who’s history was practically erased as a result of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.
