Who?
Individuals under 18 years who are accompanied by an adult.
Adults.
What?
As Warehouse Supporter you'll be involved in:
- Checking Care Bags and other items to determine if they are ready for delivery to families.
- Sorting, counting and organizing supplies of Care Bags and essential items.
- Simple administrative tasks that support day-to-day logistics.
NOTE: The focus of this session varies each week depending on the current needs of families and organizational priorities.
When?
10:15am - 11:45am on a Thursday.
Volunteer for one session, multiple sessions, or every week - the choice is yours!
Where?
There With Care, 2682 Middlefield Road, Suite H, Redwood City, CA 94063.
Free parking is available in front of the office building.
Why?
More families going through a medical crisis with their sick child can receive support when there are more Care Bags and essential items on the shelves available for delivery to families.
How?
In-person support and guidance on all activities is provided during the session by a There With Care employee.
For safety, please wear closed toe shoes (no sandals).
Volunteer service hours:
1.5 hours.

Mission Statement
The mission of There With Care is to provide a wide range of meaningful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. We serve families referred by medical agencies, by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life's day-to-day obligations with compassion and care.
Description
The Bay Area Chapter was created in 2011, seven years after the founding chapter opened in Colorado. There With Care receives referrals from medical social workers at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Mission Bay, San Francisco. When a family receives a medical diagnosis of critical illness for their child, There With Care connects with the family and engages community members and organizations to volunteer to help ease the stress of their day-to-day life activities.
