The Women In Charge's ESL Program is in need of dedicated individuals in the St. Louis/St. Charles area who are passionate about helping adult immigrants and refugees improve their English language skills and achieve their goals. Teaching experience is a plus, but not required.We have flexible schedules and ask for at least one session (60-90 minutes) commitment per week for a minimum of six months, based on your availability and preference. The classes can be at the Women In Charge office in University City, at a public library/restaurant, or online.

Description

Founded in 1992, Women In Charge is devoted to empowering women to move one step at a time toward independence. Women In Charge is a safe and nurturing environment offering a variety of programs such as adult literacy and HiSET preparation created to meet the emotional, social, educational, and career ambitions of the women throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area. The recently added ESL program offers free English Language classes to both men and women. Improved English will help give the immigrants and refugees the confidence and skills they need to acquire and maintain employment, leading to long-term improvements in their own lives and futures of their children.
