Under the supervision of our CSPD Community Service Officers, volunteers will provide VIN Verification services to the general public at one of our four police substations. This includes completing VIN verification training, conducting VIN verifications, and ensuring paperwork is processed appropriately.

2 Shifts

  • 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM MST
    Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
  • 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM MST
    Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

The Community Advancing Public Safety (CAPS) Program is an exciting community-wide effort that engages volunteers in a public safety partnership with the City’s Police and Fire Departments and the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management. While volunteers have been an integral part of daily operations throughout the police department for over forty years, CAPS catapulted the program to unsurpassed levels of success and unparalleled accomplishments.
