At our shelter, dogs get walked twice a day by our fantastic volunteers. We need help 7 days a week, twice a day walking our dogs around our Main Campus.
- Walk as part of a team on Main Campus.
- Typically requires regular weekly or bi-weekly schedule
- 2 hour shifts available AM or PM 7 days/week
- Must be willing to walk in all weather - the dogs don’t mind if it is raining!
- Can be physically challenging.

Founded in 1965, Animal Humane New Mexico is the state’s leading private 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization serving more than 10,000 homeless & at-risk dogs & cats each year. We never euthanize based on age or length of stay & since 2010, have re-homed 100% of healthy pets in our care. We support every companion animal at Animal Humane with outstanding veterinary, social and emotional care & love. As a private nonprofit shelter, we receive no city, state or federal funding; each dollar judiciously spent is earned or raised.
