Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) is putting on its annual Merriment at the Ministry, our Christmas toy and gift distribution. This event is meant to help families who are struggling to make ends meet, who need a little help this time of year.
We worked last week to help all of the families that have pre-registered for this program. This week we are working to distribute all of our left-over gifts and all of the last minute donations that we are still receiving. We need help at our regular offices to give out these gifts to families who missed the sign-up for the main program.
We need a handful of volunteers to help select gifts for these families during the week before Christmas. We have set this up with time slots, but we are flexible for those who are not available those exact times.
If you would like to help us bring joy to local families, and to make sure that everyone's donations get put to good use this year, please come join us during this event.

Just to clarify, any items left over after this week will be stored for next year. No items are being thrown away or sold for profit. We are just looking to make sure that no one gets left out this year.

Mission Statement
In faith and partnership with the community, Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) turns stumbling blocks into stepping stones by making resources available to individuals and families facing adversity.
Description
For the past 31 years, Cypress Assistance Ministries has served the local Cypress community. We are a local non-profit organization (501(c)3) providing services to those in need or facing a crisis.
Volunteers lead in our efforts to provide CAM's Client Services program, Operation Jobs, CAM Food Pantry assistance and GED/ESL classes. Volunteers process the donations we receive into our resale store Angels’ Attic. Proceeds from our store fund our ministry and the clients we serve. Our programs serve as measure of hope and help individuals return to economic stability.

- Most tasks during this event involve some degree of walking, bending, lifting items (no more than 20lbs), etc. There should be nothing especially strenuous, but please be aware that we may not have a seated task for those who require one.
