Here at Gentiva Hospice, we are looking for loving, caring people who would love to brighten someone's holiday season! We need volunteers who would like to go into patients' homes and sit with the patient while the caregiver takes a break, or visit patients at nursing facilities. You can hold their hand, read them a story, sing Christmas carols, play a card game, or simply sit with them. There are no physical requirements; you do not need to do any lifting or transferring of patients. Volunteers are not allowed to provide direct care but are there to show love and give companionship.
