Host (aka foster) an assistance-dog-in-training in your home for 2 weeks!

Our dogs spend 8 months in training with carefully chosen inmate handlers at Waseca Federal Correctional Institution.

During the 8 months in the training program, the dogs go to homes of volunteers near the prison for 2 2-Week Home Stays, in order to maintain good house manners and get exposed to as many social and public situations as possible.

Can Do Canines provides knowledgeable training staff to support you, all of the dog food, and vet care.

By helping host a future assistance dog in your home, you are enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities. These dogs will grow up to bring their people more freedom, independence and peace of mind.

Plus, you get to snuggle with a life-changing dog!
