The Pretty In Pink Foundation is searching for a volunteer who will report to the Director of Business Development and will help expand our organizational capacity by assisting with community outreach and fundraising opportunities in the Triad.
Duties may include:
Attending events, fundraisers, and check presentations on behalf of the Foundation
Soliciting donations/participation/sponsorships from individuals and/or local businesses
Speaking to individuals and groups about our mission and work
Passing out marketing materials to participants
Acquiring donations for auction items or in-kind gifts
Required skills and abilities:
Possess a passion and desire to help make a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients in need
Willingness to learn our mission, statistics, and talking points
Ability to communicate effectively amongst diverse populations or groups
Ability to work independently in a professional and timely manner
Reliability and ability to commit to attending events in advance
Extroverted personality is a plus--will be interacting with event guests and sponsors
Other things to note:
This role is intended to be ongoing and will require travel within the Triad area
Time commitment may vary based on the number events being held (i.e there may be some weeks where there are no volunteer opportunities, and some weeks where there are multiple places we will need you in one week!)
Volunteer will need occasional night and weekend availability

Description
Pretty In Pink Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in North Carolina. When breast cancer is present and insurance is not Pretty In Pink Foundation is here to help. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify to pay for surgery, chemotherapy administration, radiation therapy, office co-pays, COBRA, and insurance premiums.
Beyond the Ribbon services include prosthetic units, pre and post surgery bras, wigs, comfort bags, community resource connections and more.
