Volunteers with a passion for animals needed!
ORGANIZATION: Promises Never Broken Foundation - Equine Rescue
Please visit the new page to apply.
Volunteers tend to the horses 2x per day in shifts -- once in the morning (before noon) and once in the afternoon / evening (between 4pm and 7pm). We muck out all of the horse's stalls, feed each horse their individual mix of grain, supplements, and medications, provide them with hay, and fill / clean their water troughs.
A new volunteer's first visit to the rescue will consist of an orientation tour. The next three visits will focus on specific shift requirements to identify any questions, restrictions, or limitations that need to be addressed / reviewed. All training is supervised and safety always comes first! After the third shift, both the organization and the volunteer will decide if they wish to continue the partnership.
Please note that the following are our current shifts that are open for training:
Mornings: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, & Sunday
Afternoons: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday
While no prior horse experience is required, volunteering at Promises Never Broken does have physical requirements. Some individuals may not be comfortable or able to complete all tasks on our property, which includes uneven ground that is also on an incline. Additional physical requirements to volunteer are:
Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
You will be on your feet for 2 - 3 hours during your shift (though breaks are encouraged / welcomed!)
There is lifting, bending, and carrying involved in each shift.
Please note that volunteers do not ride the horses. Any minor children interested in volunteering must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while onsite at all times.

Mission Statement
Promises Never Broken Foundation Equine Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of horses. Our tax exemption number is 27-4774907.
Description
Our organization was founded in 2010 by Sharon Allison, a farrier and horse enthusiast with over 40 years of experience. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses in need. If adoption is not possible due to the extent of an animal's illnesses and / or injuries, Promises Never Broken Foundation also serves as a safe haven where these horses will be loved as they live out the rest of their days. We are 100% volunteer run and donation funded. All contributions of goods or funds go directly into the care of the horses.
