Position: Snack Chat - Youth Leader Volunteer

Location: Carlton County, Cloquet, MN

About Us: REACH Youth-Adult Partnerships is dedicated to providing engaging out-of-school activities for youth aged 10-21 in Carlton County. We believe in the power of mentorship and community involvement to help young people thrive.

Position Description:

We are seeking adult volunteers to join our team as Arts & Crafts Leaders and helpers. In this role, you will help supervise and facilitate the creation of a variety of projects and provide students with a positive experience. It is up to the volunteer and youth to decide on what projects to do. Examples; crocheting, knitting, sewing, bead work, bath bombs, slime, origami, potter, painting, etc.

*Materials will be provided by REACH

Key Responsibilities:

• Show up on time to the event.
• Communicate with staff and volunteers
• Help with teaching the preparation and making of food/snack
• Have a welcoming attitude and be open minded.
• And most of all have fun with the youth. This is their time to shine.
• Have a great imagination!!

Requirements:

• Passion for working with youth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to positive youth development.
• A clear background check may be required.

Time Commitment: This activity is currently Mondays from 3:30 - 5:30 but can be open to other days of the week.
