Position Title: Fundraising Director

Organization: United Americans Disaster Response Team (UADRT)

Location: Remote

Time Commitment: 3 to 5 hours per week.

About Us: The United Americans Disaster Response Team (UADRT) is a committed non-profit organization focused on providing immediate and effective disaster response and relief across the United States. Our mission is to alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity in the face of emergencies. We mobilize resources, collaborate with local agencies, and work tirelessly to assist communities affected by disasters.

Position Overview: UADRT is in search of a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Director to spearhead our fundraising initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with crafting a robust fundraising strategy and leading its execution to ensure UADRT has the financial resources necessary to respond to disasters quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with UADRT’s goals and mission.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and corporate partners, engaging them in our mission and updating them on the impact of their contributions.
  • Plan and oversee fundraising events and campaigns, ensuring they are well-organized, targeted, and successful in meeting financial targets.
  • Lead efforts to identify and secure grants, including writing proposals and managing submissions.
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of fundraising volunteers, fostering a culture of enthusiasm and commitment to our cause.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports on fundraising progress to the Board of Directors.
  • Keep abreast of fundraising trends and legalities to ensure UADRT’s fundraising efforts are ethical and innovative.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in fundraising or development, with a successful track record in meeting financial goals.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team of volunteers.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience in organizing large-scale fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of grant research and writing processes.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in the use of modern technology and fundraising software.
  • A deep commitment to disaster response and relief work.
